I hold a Masters degree in Fine Art (Design) and, while Japanese papermaking is my specialty and the main focus of my research the last 20+ years, I have more broadly been studying art and design (architecture, printmaking, book arts, etc) even longer, for over 35 years. I have always had an interest in language and writing, and have published a variety of articles. I have over 15 years of experience in translation, specifically in the arts and culture area, working with clients such as the Ino-cho Paper Museum and Hand Papermaking magazine.
